Privacy
Effective 10 October 2026. This page covers wwwhy.ai, the website.
wwwhy keeps what you give it, uses it only for wwwhy, and never sells it.
The mindfulness page
Looking around sends nothing about you to us. We count visits and taps in total, never who made them, and how many different people visit each day, without knowing who they are.
“Go to my location” asks your browser for one reading of where you are, only when you press it. Otherwise the map starts near the rough city Vercel reads from the visit. Either one only moves the map: it is not sent to us, stored or logged.
The map under the days and the radius is drawn from NASA's public pictures of the earth, which NASA's imagery service (GIBS) serves, and close in from public street tiles that OpenFreeMap serves. Your browser asks gibs.earthdata.nasa.gov and tiles.openfreemap.org for the pieces it draws, so each of them sees your IP address, your browser's name and language, the address of this site, and which part of the map is on screen: the rough city Vercel reads from the visit, or your own area once you press the location control. Nothing else goes to them, and neither sets a cookie here.
Links to organisers and helplines open their own sites, under their own rules.
When you give us something
- Join the waitlist, or sign up on the mindfulness page: your email, your name and what you asked to hear about, and your answers if you add them. We use them to write to you about what you chose, and read the answers to choose who to invite. If you arrive through a link someone shared, we note who shared it.
- Host a sitting: your name and email, your organisation and phone if you add them, and the sitting’s details. We read it before anything is listed. If we list it, the page shows the sitting and its organiser’s name; your email and phone never show.
- Register for a sitting wwwhy hosts: your name and email, so we know who is coming, and to tell you about future sittings.
We keep what you send to host or register, so we can tell you about future sittings. We never sell it and never send spam. Write to us and we remove it. A sitting we list stays on the page after it is held.
To stop spam, we briefly count requests from each internet address.
If you used wwwhy before
Earlier events kept what you gave there. It stays private, and we remove it whenever you ask.
What we never do
We count visits and taps in total, never who made them. No ads. No cookies that follow you, and no trackers. We never sell your data.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores what you give us.
- Vercel runs the site and sees the internet address of each visit. It also counts how many different people visit each day, without cookies and without keeping who they are.
- Anthropic’s Claude helps us read what you send us.
Removing it
Write to hello@wwwhy.ai from your address, and say what to remove. We remove everything tied to it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
